Job Title: Digital Platform Project Lead

Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 (Depending on Experience)

Location : Peterborough, Cambridgeshire       

Benefits:  25 days annual leave,    

                 Up to 18% bonus

                 Car Allowance - £600

                 Contributory pension scheme- Caterpillar will double the employee's contribution Up to 10%

The Opportunity

You would join the Electrification and Advanced Power Solutions team as a Digital Platform Project Lead, managing the delivery of workstreams in the development of the digital ecosystems to ensure they are on time, within budget, and aligned with the deployment of our electrification products and services.

The role will deliver through the IT and digital communities by managing and prioritising and trading off requirements with the product, supply chain and Sales and marketing teams.

In addition, there would be high interaction with multiple disciplines across Caterpillar within Energy & Transportation (E&T), Construction Industries and Resource Industries – working with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Cat Electronics, Sales and Marketing, Applications, customers and others. 

This role is very process focused, and essential to ensuring we implement our product and future services successfully and the customer is able to adapt to electrification seamlessly.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Managing the delivery of digital workstreams including:

    • Software architecture design

    • IT / cloud / data system design

    • Algorithm / code development

    • Business process development

  • Working with OEM and Dealer Sales and Marketing (SMSP), Construction industries, and Resource Industry segments to understand customer and market requirements to create and manage the digital ecosystem

Skills and Experience:

Candidates will have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:

  • Experience within product or service development

  • Experience working with digital delivery, e.g. IT / software development / engineering data

  • The ability to translate complex requirements and define solutions and routes to market

  • High levels of prioritisation, organisation and planning skills 

  • Capability to influence and work through others to deliver a solution

Candidates may have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:

  • Experience in Operations, Supply Chain, IT, Sales, Marketing, Engineering or Applications relating to customers, products or services.

  • Great teamworking and experience of end customer

  • Proven ability to understand systems and processes to drive a successful outcome

  • Delivery through the agile process
