Bas ic Qualifications: 

Education:   Graduate in Information Technology related field with relevant industry experience

Experience:  M i nimum 5 years of Broad Experience in Solution Architecting in Enterprise IT Systems in Transportation and Warehouse Management Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning System. 

Language: Pre-Advanced English 

Behavioral skills:  Collaborative; Strong Organization and Planning skills; Good written and verbal communication; personal planning,decision making,leadership and interpersonal skills; Innovation Mindset

Desirable Qualifications:

+15 Years of IT Experience in software development and testing

Experience working with Blue Yonder Transportation Manager and Infor-Nexus platforms

Knowledge & experience in project management knowledge areas (Cost and Time-Line Estimation, Resource Planning) 

Lean or 6 Sigma training 

The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) 

Certified Supply Chain Professional or equivalent supply chain related certifications 

Job Profile / Activities:  

Be accountable to ensure successful completion of Solution Architecture on-time, within budget and high-quality working with diverse global business and IT members across enterprise. 

Be responsible to define and co-develop the business processes, solution for the identified business challenge, and project requests. 

Be accountable to Collaborate with Software Architects and Project Managers to develop the project estimate and staff plan to realize the project goals 

Manage multiple projects concurrently. 

Lead the solution architecture development during kick-off, planning, execution & closure phases. 

Document requirements from various business partners. 

Perform stakeholder management and provide ongoing solution architecture updates with IT and Business Leaders, Enterprise Architects and other global architects. 

Resolve issues and eliminate roadblocks to realize project solution architecture to ensure no delay in project implementation.

This position is for an IT Architect I / Solution Architect in Caterpillar’s PSLD IT organization, supporting internal Global business partners for Domestic and International Inbound Transportation and Warehouse Management Systems. As a single point of contact, Solution Architect works closely with business partners to document the business processes, system solutions, and collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Software Architect, and work closely with Project Implementation team to realize system solution. IT Architect will work business and IT leaders to identify system rationalization opportunities and define the short and long-term roadmap for Transportation & Warehouse Management systems.  

Job Duties / Responsibilities:

Required Experience:  

  • Minimum 5 years of Broad Experience in Solution Architecting in Enterprise IT Systems in Transportation and Warehouse Management Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning System

Education: 

  • Graduate in Information Technology related field with relevant industry experience

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Experience performing Business and IT Solution Architect in either waterfall or agile project methodology 

  • Strong understanding and experience in Caterpillar Domestic (Americas, Europe and Asia) and International Inbound Transportation and Supply chain concepts 

  • Strong understanding and experience in Warehouse Management Solutions and automation. 

  • Experience in integrating Carriers (Truck, Air and Ocean) to Blue Yonder Transportation Manager using either EDI or API.  

  • Experience in configuring and integration solution using Blue Yonder Transportation Manager and Infor-Nexus platforms 

  • Collaborative skills working with Business Partners in developing Business Processes, creation of Architecture Design Documents and share with senior IT and Business leaders 

  • Strong understanding and experience with the software development Lifecycle and working with IT Development team in realizing project solutions 

  • Strong Organization and Planning skills 

  • Good written and verbal communication skills 

  • Ability to adjust plan to evolving business needs  

Top Candidates will also have: 

  • Minimum 15 Years of IT Experience in software development and testing

  • Knowledge of configuration and integration experience working with Blue Yonder Transportation Manager and Infor-Nexus platforms

  • Knowledge & experience in project management knowledge areas (Cost and Time-Line Estimation, Resource Planning) 

  • Strengths in areas of personal planning, initiating actions, delegation, building consensus, decision making, leadership and interpersonal skills 

  • Innovation mindset 

  • Lean or 6 Sigma training 

  • The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF)
