Job Description:


This position is responsible for providing a safe and healthy working environment for employees in CUXL to meet China National Laws and Caterpillar’s regulations.


Establishing and maintaining ISO14000 System in CUXL. Working with local government for safety related regulations compliance and sustainable development support, including follows:

  • Comply with safety related regulations and updates internal documents.
  • Coordinating and organizing the special type of operators’ training by local work safety authorities.
  • Coordinating & organizing the special equipment inspection by local work safety authorities.
  • Coordinating the hygiene inspection by local hygiene authorities (such as noise, dust and toxic materials in the working area) and nonconformance evaluation for correction.
  • Coordinating Occupational Safety & Health issues involved in the new construction projects, including Safety & Health preliminary evaluation, compliance, and final inspection and acceptance by the government.
  • Reporting Work related Injuries and Disease.
  • Reporting accident from special equipment.

Monitoring safety incident investigation, reporting, root cause analysis, and follow-up learning organizing and communication. Managing facility Safety Metrics, such as record keeping, goals setup and tracing. Providing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) subject matter expertise, this may include but not limited to evaluate and equip suitable PPE for internal employees and external visitors. Ensure Safety Continuous Improvement (CI) card communication within 24hs ratio. Providing facility-specific safety training and evaluation, including new employee orientation & operator certification assessment. Organizing safety stand-down and safety incident materials learning. Participating in new process/machine/equipment safety review/ FMEA analysis, and perform hazard/risk identification and risk evaluation. Providing technical support to leadership for hazard/risk control and monitoring external visitors entering facility regulation process. Assisting in fostering safety recognition/improvement culture in CUXL. (like organizing “Safety Forum” and lead safety improvement projects and etc.)


Education & Experience

This position requests a Bachelor degree of occupational safety and health and a thorough knowledge of safety regulations. (Engineering knowledge/experience background is an advantage.)

2. 3 years or more working experience in safety and health management is preferred

Competencies & Skills

1. Be familiar with safety laws and regulations.

2. Having the good abilities of analysis, diagnostic, judgment.

3. Having good computer and English skills.


“Certified Safety Engineer” preferred.
