Description:

To provide revenue support for Caterpillar aftermarket parts and complete related special projects as assigned. This work includes performing product price reviews (internal and external), review product profitability, maintain price lists, analyze competitive environment (transaction price level for both Caterpillar and competitive parts); and evaluation of special pricing assessments for current and future product (NPI); analyzing revenue contribution from volume, sales and price.

Job duties include but are not limited to the following:

Global Parts Pricing and Sales Variance Revenue Analysts are responsible for establishing and reviewing revenue proposals for Caterpillar aftermarket products. The process includes analysis of sales history, volume forecast, competition, product quality, product availability, value premiums, costs and related factors.

Works with Marketing, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Legal, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Product Support Development, and Pricing personnel elsewhere in the company to obtain and evaluate information needed for making revenue recommendations.

Assists in achieving specific Division objectives by aiding efforts to improve profitability through recommending revenue growth opportunities. The revenue analyst is responsible for regularly and accurately maintaining and updating revenue systems (pricing, invoicing and merchandising) and answering all revenue/pricing related queries for their assigned products.

This position is for analysts with some experience that require less day-to-day direction.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably within business administration, finance, economics, statistics, accounting, or a related field

Top Candidate Will Also Have:

  • 2-3 years of job-related experience is helpful but not required
  • Knowledge of various aftermarket products, product applications or merchandising programs
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in leveraging visualization tools to explain analysis to stakeholders (leveraging PowerPoint, PowerBi or Tableau)
  • Strong analytical ability, SQL and Excel skills
  • Demonstrated initiative and be results oriented

  • Location: Peoria, IL
  • Domestic relocation is available for those who qualify
  • 5% travel is expected
