Salary: £55,428 - £60,000 (Depending on Experience)

A Perkins Aftermarket Product Manager is responsible for a portfolio of aftermarket products worth approximately $30M in annual revenue and with significant growth targets in support of the Perkins Aftermarket OPACC Improvement Agenda (OIA). This is a key role in the Aftermarket team and reports to the Parts Product and Life Cycle Manager. Responsibilities for the role include:
Tracking sales revenue and margin for their parts categories and identifying growth opportunities based on POPS and lost opportunity data
Managing product related processes to drive customer solutions & availability
Monitoring, analysing and improving the existing aftermarket product range through the full product life cycle from introduction to phase out, ensuring innovative and creative solutions to meet the needs of our customers
Defining and delivering outbound product training strategies / frameworks for the category including:
Development and creation of distributor / OEM training materials
Development of point of sale materials
Development of technical materials to support genuine parts attributes
Execution of NPI projects and aftermarket parts re-source projects that drive parts sales revenue and OPACC growth
Supporting and, where appropriate, leading system and process development/improvement projects
Ensuring project process consistency & governance
Skills and Experience:
Candidates will have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:
Experience within / related to Product Management, Supply Chain or Product Engineering
Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
Experience of engines or associated components
Leading cross-functional project teams delivering complex projects and programs
Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
Ability to build strong working relationships with a varied stakeholder group
Good communication and presentation skills
Candidates may have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:
Knowledge of the Caterpillar or Perkins Parts business
Understanding of diesel engines emissions legislation
Experience of remanufacturing
