Job Title : Senior IT Analyst - Technical Infrastructure

Salary : £49,000 - £53,000 (depending upon experience)

Location : Peterborough/Desford/Peterlee   

Benefits:  25 days annual leave,    

                 Up to 12% Bonus

                 Contributory pension scheme - Caterpillar will double the employee's contribution Up to 10%

                 Contributory share scheme - Caterpillar will match 50% of the employee's contribution

The Opportunity

The Global Collaboration and Communication team is responsible for designing and supporting highly available enterprise voice and video services. As a Senior Information Technology Analyst, you will work in a fast paced, dynamic environment supporting a broad set of communication technologies, including enterprise telephony, contact center and video conferencing. We’re looking for a voice professional with comprehensive expertise in planning, design, development, and implementation of voice communication solutions. If you are an expert with superior skills and a passion for using technology to solve collaboration challenges, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

  • Executes on the road map to deliver business value

  • Defines the metrics to measure progress and maintain accountability

  • Leads and maintains strategic engineering standards, designs processes and procedures on projects that will accelerate technologies for our business partners and clients including the rollout of innovative products and services as well as upgrades to the current environment

  • Leads multiple complex technologies and strategies

  • Partner with IT and business leadership to interpret the needs of the enterprise into business solutions

  • Provides full lifecycle technical project leadership from requirements gathering through implementation and administration


 

Skills and Experience: 

Candidates will have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:

  • Bachelor of science degree in Computer Science, MIS or related degree

  • Significant and relevant large enterprise voice experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Candidates may have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:

  • Basic telephony: TDM, POTS

  • Call Accounting Software

  • Call Recording platforms

  • Capturing business requirements

  • Cisco experience

  • Cloud based communication solutions

  • Creation and maintenance of technical documentation

  • Driving strategic direction

  • Evolution of emerging vendors and or products

  • Handling of technical escalations

  • IP networking (LAN/WAN)

  • ISDN architecture and implementation

  • Office 365 Voice

  • Project management

  • Roadmap creation and or maintenance

  • Session Border Controllers

  • Unified Communications and Collaboration

  • Vendor Management

  • Video conferencing platforms

  • VoIP and IP Phone/trunks

  • VoIP and SIP implementation

May occasionally work a non-standard schedule including nights and/or weekends and/or have on-call responsibilities.

Certifications

  • CCIE Collaboration
