We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Product Support and Logistics Division as a Parts Lifecycle Analyst in Morton, IL.

Our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. PSLD is responsible for the worldwide distribution of Cat aftermarket parts, integrated logistics, and global service to develop and support our global dealer network and customers.

This role is part of Parts Lifecycle Solutions (PLS), a team focused on enabling consistent, enterprise-wide approaches to how service parts are introduced, managed, and discontinued. The role supports aftermarket parts execution by helping ensure work is coordinated, processes are applied consistently, and priorities are carried out from planning to delivery.

Job Summary:

  • As a Lifecycle Analyst in PLS, you will support the Caterpillar aftermarket by executing parts lifecycle processes, enabling training and documentation, and supporting enterprise parts workflows. This role works closely with the internal PLS team, extended PSLD partners, and business stakeholders to support Aftermarket Growth Guide (AGG), Serviceability, Branding, and other PLS-led initiatives.
  • This position emphasizes hands-on execution, coordination, and process execution, ensuring work progresses efficiently while supporting issue resolution within defined processes and escalation paths.

Additional Info:

  • This role is located in Morton, IL and does not offer relocation
  • This role is 1st shift
  • This role is 100% on-site with no opportunity for hybrid or remote schedules
  • This role requires up to 10% domestic travel

What You Will Do:

  • Support execution of key PLS initiatives, including AGG, Serviceability, Branding, and related aftermarket and parts projects
  • Execute lifecycle-related workflows such as branding governance processes (criteria evaluation, exception documentation, and periodic review) and other lifecycle execution activities, ensuring standard work is consistently followed
  • Support ongoing lifecycle and aftermarket projects, including transition and sustainment of existing tools, dashboards, and process automation efforts
  • Coordinate with product groups, supply chain, and cross-functional partners to align priorities and ensure effective execution of lifecycle processes
  • Analyze parts and lifecycle data to identify gaps, trends, and opportunities for improvement
  • Support development and maintenance of standard work, training materials, and lifecycle documentation
  • Monitor shared lifecycle requests and workflows, responding to routine inquiries and escalating issues as needed
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, or improve lifecycle processes and execution

What You Have (Required Skills):

  • Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
  • Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Process Improvement: Understanding and insight into evaluating current product quality and production methods and ability to maintain focus on the continuous improvement of processes, products and services.
  • Service Excellence: Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner.

What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Skills):

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in parts, aftermarket, supply chain, manufacturing, procurement, or product group support
  • Familiarity with Cat NPI and lifecycle processes such as AGG, serviceability, branding, or enterprise enablement workflows
  • Experience with data analysis, reporting tools, or process automation
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work across cross-functional teams

Summary Pay Range:

$97,530.00 - $146,290.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
