Job Summary
Provides secure transportation services to facility personnel, foreign visitors and the Facility Manager, evaluates hazards, threats and solutions required to eliminate or minimize risk, before, during and after transportation. Give support to different areas in transportation related activities. This position coordinates transportation for the facility manager, facility visitors and other key personnel. The operator must be fully aware of the city’s security risk and conditions on a day-to-day basis and report said conditions to local and foreign Caterpillar personnel. This position coordinates the assignment of vehicles for different company employees and business needs; in addition, this position oversees carpool preventive, corrective and emergency maintenance for all vehicles property of Caterpillar Mexico, and different transportation services for Caterpillar executives through the Plant Protection Department.

What You Will Do:

  • Analyze and create security presentations.
  • Fleet vehicle management, including not limited to cleanliness, maintenance, record of service.
  • Review and monitor visitors’ schedules.
  • Responsible for providing secure transport, security advice, event security and protection to employees, visitors, clients, executive staff, as well as safeguarding assets.
  • Be up to date with the city’s security conditions and report risk and general conditions to local and foreign Caterpillar personnel, through morning reports and daily news reports.
  • Collaborate and administrate facility protection personnel (security guards) in their tasks like controlling the facility entrances and security patrols throughout the premises.
  • Coordinate transportation services for facility visitors travelling from outside Mexico as well as transportation services for the facility manager.
  • Organize daily vehicles loans to company employees using and controlling authorized forms including in and out logs, registering users, departures, etc.
  • Elaborate and keep all records of services, car loans, mileage, maintenance, and compliance requests for the company’s vehicles.
  • Do all paperwork before government offices to ensure proper use of vehicles. The government offices included are, but not limited to: Finance Office, The State’s General Treasure Department, Department of Motor Vehicles, Local Police Department, Federal Preventive Police Department, Insurance Companies, tow trucks, impound yards and other government offices related to the company.
  • Keep updated individual records for every vehicle of the company to analyze new car fleet units’ requirement considering mileage, time of usage and repairs.
  • Keep updated daily records for vehicles requesters to elaborate correct number of units for car fleet.
  • Supervise car fleet assistant for weekly review of vehicles general conditions (car fleet, and managers’ vehicles).
  • Review vehicles daily status: vehicles cleaning, having enough fuel and tires in good condition, and appropriate water and oil levels.
  • Verify prices with different retailers to make right decision and recommend the best option for new vehicles acquisition whenever is necessary.

Education Requirements:

  • High School, Bachelor, or Technical Career
  • Fluent English (written and spoken)

  • Knowledge on Access Control
  • Knowledge on handling CCTV monitoring.
  • Microsoft office package skills
  • Ease of developing procedures related to asset security.
  • Knowledge of the applicable standards for the plant protection area.
  • Excellent communication skills to conduct training for the emergency response team.
  • Ability to identify situations of information theft, vandalism, sabotage and other threats to facilities.
  • Advanced knowledge of the city and its surroundings

The best candidates will also have:

  • Personal computer skills and familiarity with various software packages
  • Know the City, Logistic skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills to assist employees, and deal with suppliers for services.

Additional Information:

  • Availability of time in occasional cases. (Flextime)
  • This position requires 60% domestic and international travel.
  • Visa required. (SENTRI Desirable)
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Availability for shift rotation is required.
