This is a role within SPM Oil & Gas (A Caterpillar Company), Pressure Control Eastern Hemisphere for Surface Wellhead & X’mas Tree). The personnel support achievement of the business plan by taking ownership of the end-to-end bid process, which includes managing all aspects of tender work and the final compilation of all documents in a completed bid package for submission to the customer before the bid closing date.
What You Will Do:
Timely submissions: Ensure all assigned tenders, RFQs, and RFIs are submitted on schedule and in compliance with company standards and guidelines.
Bid management: Lead and coordinate the preparation of bid submissions, setting timelines and deliverables with all stakeholders.
Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with Legal, Engineering, Quality, EHS, Finance, HR, Operations, Sales, and subject matter experts to gather information and develop winning bid strategies.
Stakeholder follow-up: Ensure timely responses from stakeholders to meet customer requirements.
Document review: Compile and review all stakeholder-provided documents for final bid submission.
Technical evaluation: Assess customer specifications/requirements and collaborate with Engineering to prepare accurate Bills of Materials (BOM).
Cost analysis: Partner with Costing and SCM teams to conduct competitive costing analysis.
Sales strategy: Work with Sales to define winning strategies and prepare pricing presentations for management review.
Clarification management: Track and close out outstanding points or clarifications with stakeholders and customers.
Team support: Assist superiors in mentoring and guiding junior team members.
Data analysis: Collect and analyze data as required by supervisors.
Additional tasks: Carry out any other duties assigned by supervisors or management.
What You Have:
Bachelor's degree with at least 6-8 years of related tendering experience, with proven track record in tendering for Pressure Control – Surface Wellhead and X’mas Tree equipment.
Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a tender team, with prior experience managing cross-functional collaboration and guiding junior members.
Ability to work independently and deliver under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with ERP systems and strong competency in MS Office applications
