The Corporate Treasury team is looking for a talented and motivated Finance Specialist. This role serves as part of the Treasury Technology Team within Corporate Treasury, a dynamic and global organization that leverages expertise in core Treasury processes and applies technology and innovative solutions to provide valued services across the Caterpillar enterprise.
The Treasury Technology Team supports key applications used by the global Corporate Treasury Team and is an advisor to Corporate Treasury Process Owners on technology solutions. Additionally, the team serves as the liaison between Treasury Process Owners and Caterpillar’s Global IT organization. The team manages external technology vendor relationships, actively researches and evaluates technology trends, as well as manages a broad portfolio of compliance controls.
This position will help drive the Caterpillar Global Finance Strategy forward by leveraging digital tools to standardize and simplify Treasury processes, as well as identify opportunities to optimize Treasury applications.
Primary Responsibilities May Include, But Are Not Limited To:
Providing Treasury application support to meet system up-time targets, troubleshoot end user issues, administer security access and maintain static data
Collaborating directly with Treasury Process Owners to develop innovative solutions to meet their process and technology needs
Configuring and testing new solutions in Treasury applications, as well as coordinating user acceptance testing with end users
Developing and maintaining the Treasury system control environment, partnering with internal and external auditors to ensure controls requirements are met
Serving as project lead on various technology projects in Corporate Treasury that support Caterpillar’s Global Finance Strategy
Serving as a key technical support for the Quantum Treasury Management System Upgrade
The skills required for the role are:
Working Knowledge in Accuracy and Attention to Detail
Basic Understanding in Communicating Complex Concepts
Extensive Experience in Problem Solving
Basic Understanding of Relationship Management
Extensive Experience in Planning and Organizing
Interest in the financial technology industry
Experience with Treasury Management Systems and applications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration or information technology.
4+ or more years of progressively responsible finance-related or information systems experience
Leadership experience
Strong analytical, technical, communication and process management skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain strong working relationships with internal and external partners
Desired Qualifications:
Demonstrated commitment to ensure a strong compliance culture (organization, policies and procedures)
Proven track record of demonstrating courage and emotional intelligence
The ability to prioritize workflow and accomplish tasks across the organization through collaboration and delegation
Project management experience
High level of responsibility, initiative, values, and stress tolerance
This position requires the candidate to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.
