Job Summary

The Distribution Manager leads all plant internal logistics operations, including warehousing, material flow to point-of-use, and outbound shipments. This role works cross-functionally with Production, Planning, and Procurement to ensure material availability and successful execution of the production plan. The position is also responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, velocity, and cost. This role requires strong operational leadership, responsiveness, and a results-driven mindset within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead plant internal logistics operations: receiving, warehousing, line-side delivery, and shipping
  • Ensure timely material availability at point-of-use, preventing production disruptions
  • Manage and develop warehouse, materials, and shipping supervisors
  • Coordinate operational priorities with Production and Supply Chain Planning
  • Ensure inventory accuracy through effective controls and cycle counting
  • Oversee shipment execution and on-time delivery performance
  • Optimize material flow and mitigate risks of shortages or operational disruptions
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce costs

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field

Key Skills

Supply Chain Management

  • Hands-on experience in material delivery strategies and plant logistics
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing and inventory control
  • Advanced SAP skills in warehouse/logistics modules
  • Knowledge of industrial safety standards
  • Familiarity with ISO standards related to material handling
  • Understanding of outbound shipping processes

Relationship Management

  • Strong ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams
  • Effective change management and influencing skills
  • Proven ability to develop talent and build high-performance teams

Problem Solving

  • Advanced root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
  • Data-driven decision-making and risk assessment capabilities
  • Ability to respond effectively to critical production or logistics issues
  • Adaptability in dynamic environments

Results Orientation

  • Consistently delivers on key operational KPIs (OTD, inventory accuracy, line availability)
  • Strong sense of urgency in execution
  • Ensures compliance with audits, regulations, and internal standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in heavy manufacturing or MTO/ETO environments
  • Knowledge of Lean Logistics and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Certifications such as APICS (CPIM/CSCP), Lean, or Six Sigma
  • Advanced SAP experience (CBS 500 / PP)
  • Conversational English

Additional Information

  • Location: Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico (Plant-based role)
  • Work schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Availability to provide support based on plant operational needs
  • Travel: Up to 10% domestic travel may be required
  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position
