Duties and Responsibilities:
The Specialty Technician – Shop Support performs a variety of advanced production duties while adhering to Caterpillar’s core values of integrity, excellence, teamwork, commitment, and sustainability. The Specialty Technician will effectively interact and communicate with facility management, manufacturing engineers and production employees to help ensure and improve processes within the facility.

All employees will be responsible for the following:
•Working on Continuous Improvement projects
•Performing all necessary documentation in a timely manner
•Working effectively with others to complete projects
•Taking responsibility for your own safety as well as the safety of others
•Maintaining a clean work area
•Ability to work in a team environment
•Good problem solving skills
•Thorough understanding of production processes and requirements in assigned area and the ability to perform the specialized skills necessary

Required Qualifications:
•Must have at six months of accumulated service time in current position at the Victoria facility to be eligible to bid on this job unless otherwise stated on the job posting
•Successful completion of CNSP Operations Test
•Proficient computer skills

Desired Qualifications:
•Successful completion of classroom, electronic or hands on assembly or quality training
•Advanced data analytic skills and in-depth knowledge with Excel and/or Access
