Role Definition

The Total Rewards Workers Compensation Senior Manager provides Total Rewards consultancy services to internal customers in support of benefit and total health & wellbeing programs, compensation management, employee relocation & expatriate management and retirement programs. The role acts as the functional expert in one or more Total Rewards disciplines and manages a team of Total Rewards Specialist, Partners or Senior Partners. The role manages and leads projects and solves complex Total Reward challenges.

What You Will Do:

  • Ensure the Total Rewards programs enhance our ability to recruit and retain employees.
  • Review existing programs, propose modification to existing programs or design of new programs to ensure the achievement of a competitive market position aligned with our business and talent objectives
  • Lead the design and implementation of Total Rewards programs including project management, communication, change management and vendor management
  • Lead internal team(s) to ensure delivery of Total Rewards programs, processes, and services, ensures compliance with company or legal requirements and securely manages employee data in line with company policies
  • Manages external vendors, ensuring delivery of service and operational metrics
  • Work with Caterpillar facilities to manage positive outcomes related to return-to-work
  • Oversee Illinois self-insurance/self-administration program
  • Manage insured program outside of IL, including procurement of insurance and vendor management of large carrier
  • Manage staff of Claims Adjusters and Claims Representatives
  • File self-insurance forms in states where self-insurance exists
  • Procure Excess Insurance policy for self-insured states
  • Monthly/Quarterly reporting to self-administered facilities
  • Complete required state forms and quarterly filings
  • Pay state fees and taxes and file quarterly state reports
  • Participate in claims reviews with insurer and facilities
  • Process insurance premiums and deductibles
  • Place security bonds in states that require such instruments
  • Provide data and work with auditor for yearly IBNR reporting
  • SOX control reporting reserve data to accounting
  • File monthly Medicare Report
  • File EDI FROI/SROI reports with self-administered state

  • Interpersonal Relationships: Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
  • Program Management (M0260): Knowledge of the policies and techniques to manage a set of related projects within a program; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control the set of projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve program objectives.
  • Benefits Programs: Knowledge of employee benefits programs, processes, issues and considerations; ability to design and implement benefits programs.
  • Compensation Management: Knowledge of compensation structure, and regulations and policies related to compensation; ability to design, implement and evaluate compensation programs, policies and processes within an organization.
  • Retirement Programs: Knowledge of features, policies and processes of retirement programs; ability to implement and manage employee retirement programs and plans.

     

Additional Info :

  • The primary location for this position is Peoria, IL.
  • Must be able to work 3 days onsite.
  • Travel up to 10%-15%.

Summary Pay Range:

$144,960.00 - $217,320.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
