Role Definition
The Financial Data Analytics Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial data analysis team and managing the interpretation, analysis, and reporting of financial data. The individual will work closely with senior leadership to drive data-driven decision-making processes and deliver actionable insights that enhance financial performance. This role involves leading financial forecasting, reporting, and strategic planning using advanced analytics tools.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Develop and manage financial models and forecasts.
  • Generate regular and ad-hoc financial reports to support business decisions.
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities in financial data.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor a team of data analysts, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Foster a data-driven culture within the finance team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business insights.

Strategic Planning:

  • Support senior leadership with financial insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Work on budget planning, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Analyze revenue streams, cost structures, and profitability drivers.

Data Management & Tools:

  • Manage financial data infrastructure, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and integrity.
  • Utilize tools like SQL, Excel, Tableau, Power BI, and other analytics platforms.
  • Oversee the integration of new data tools and systems to improve analytics capabilities.

Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Assist in identifying financial risks and opportunities.

Required Qualifications:

                Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Science, Economics, or related field.
  • CA, CPA, or other relevant certifications.

                Experience:

  • Minimum 5 -7 years of experience in financial analysis or data analytics roles.
  • Prior experience managing a team of analysts.
  • Strong experience with financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting.

                Technical Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
  • Familiarity with ERP and financial software (SAP, Oracle, etc.).

                Soft Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a fast-paced or high-growth company.
  • Knowledge of machine learning or AI in financial analytics.
